It all began with a meeting with Riccardo Cotarella, who shared our passions. We began to collaborate with him on winemaking, focusing on three grape varieties: Fiano, Aglianico and Merlot. Through their names, these three grape varieties tell the story of our land. Acquamela, the Fiano, comes from an ancient villa located along the road of the “Two Principalities”. It was here that the Queen of Naples, Margherita of Durazzo, took refuge from the plague of the 14th century.
The hamlet of Cariti gives its name to our Merlot, while Fusara comes from the name of a small village visible on the horizon from our Aglianico vines. All three, in their purest forms, represent our passion and tenacity.
